Our last project was a very interesting challenge in a student's dorm. Both, space and budget was limited, so how to bring order in a home without purchasing any organizers or home goodies to make your space neat and to create your feel good oasis? π€·π½βοΈ Everything is possible - with the right tips & tricks π
1. You can organize with no budget, it's indeed easier with little helpers such as baskets, bins or trays but IT IS POSSIBLE. So for starters, no money is needed to be neat π‘
2. The key is: CATEGORIZING
What is going in in picture 2? Once you categorize your belongings and determine your space, ask yourself what you're using the most (what makes sense to put on eyelevel).
3. Speaking of eyelevel, yes it might be handy to see everything right away but does this always please the eye? (picture 3 π) Things look better put together in "their" place. This can be inside of bins (easy to keep neat and to clean surfaces) OR hidden behind cabinet doors.
4. Let's have a look into the big but quite empty shelf. The first thing we changed is the level of the shelf units. Can you spot the folder in the top? After changing the unit hights the folder stands up straight and all water bottle packs could find their way from the floor into the shelf as well (final picture).
5. Last but not least for this quite special project is about the glass jars. We loved that the student collected jars to REUSE them for her teas or spices. There are two things to optimize the game: keep it in the same style! Stick to the absolute same jars for a unique look and neat display. We were liking the ones with the golden lid a lot, of course without the sticker! Secondly, if you have the space, the higher the jar, the better. Because you can fill more ingredients in your high but narrow glass AND therefore more jars in your shelf as well! ππΌ
